$38 Million Crisler Center Expansion - One Word: Wow!
Spence Brothers' construction as the lead contractor for The University of Michigan's $38 Million Crisler Center Expansion is now complete.
October - New Northeast Entry Stadium Walkway
Crisler Arena, originally built by Spence Brothers in 1967, is a multi-purpose venue used for academic, athletic, and entertainment events. The facility, rededicated as the "Crisler Center", underwent an extensive $38 Million construction expansion including the development of approximately 63,000 gross square feet creating new spectator entrances, retail spaces, ticketing areas and a private club space. Renovations also included approximately 54,000 gross square feet improving spectator circulation and egress, increasing the number of restrooms and concession areas, and add other fan amenities.

October 2012 - New entrance landing
In order to complete the expansive addition and renovation within the scheduled time frame, Spence cited the excellence of the team members' project execution with multiple shift operations, fast-track scheduling and extensive coordination with The University of Michigan.
Construction of the new Crisler Center Expansion was completed in an amazing 10 month period.
