Green
SVSU Pioneer Hall - LEED Silver Certified ProjectGreen is more than a color.  It’s a new culture.

The green movement has become more prevalent in our industry and we stand prepared.  In fact, Spence Brothers has responded faithfully by requiring LEED® Accredited Professional training for the principals of our company, our Project Directors and Managers, and our Project Superintendents.  The result is an interwoven capability of construction professionals who consult during the early stages of design, monitor and document the progress and targeted successes of acquiring LEED® Certification for your building.

Our approach to green building identifies sustainable design criteria with the Owner and Architect well before a shovel is put into the ground or the first drawings are rendered.  This way, a true team approach is established early – the most effective method to produce a harmony that will benefit the team and the project throughout our relationship.

Long before the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) created its LEED® Certification criteria, it has been the practice of Spence Brothers to ensure Owners receive environmentally correct and energy conscious solutions for construction projects.

As an ambassador of the “green” built environment, Spence Brothers champions its responsibility in gaining a meaningful understanding of the Owner’s expectation, the Architect’s vision and the overall constructability of a project to deliver an energy efficient and environmentally friendly structure.
