Currently Under Construction

A new home for the Interlochen Public Library is currently in construction. The physical and technical requirements required to meet growing community demands are unattainable within the current structure, and any further repair and replacement costs toward this end are unjustifiable. Spence Brothers worked with the Library’s Board of Directors for several years throughout a capital campaign to develop a facility that could be built within a budget supported by donors and the public.

The new library will become part of a new Village Center focused on public services as outlined in Interlochen’s Enhancement Plan. It will be designed with an exterior aesthetic reflective of the area’s “camp” history with a three-story glass ingress to create an attractive sense of entry visible from M-137.
