Spence brothers is

100% committed to safety

Our commitment on every job is to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and subcontractors. Each Spence Brothers employee works diligently for full compliance with all construction health and safety regulations declared by state and federal agencies.

Why safety matters to us

Reviewing and understanding our construction company’s safety record is very important. Why? Because working safely is a foundational behavior for employees and subcontractors on a worksite that cannot be compromised. It’s not only about having each and every person return home each day without injury – it’s also about your peace of mind in knowing staff, residents, visitors and/or students are not impacted by the construction hot zone. It’s our job to develop and manage an effective safety plan for the construction site.

Our safety performance is measured in many ways. The most common gauge of safety performance and measuring potential risk is the EMR. This stands for Experience Modification Rate. This rating is a number used by insurance companies to gauge both past cost of injuries and future chances of risk. Spence Brothers’ EMR rating is far below the national average. As a result, our low EMR provides us lower worker compensation insurance premiums – which saves you money.

Our Safety excellence

It’s all about creating safe behaviors on the job site. Obeying safety rules, following established safe working practices and advocating for safe and healthful practices during work activities is a privilege our workers take very seriously. By working together towards this cause, Spence Brothers has been recognized and rewarded for its excellence in providing the proper training for a safe construction environment and, therefore, maintaining safe, healthful and productive work sites.
