Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation at Covenant Healthcare featured in CAM Magazine

CAM Magazine’s March 2023 Green Issue highlights Mary Free Bed’s new state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Saginaw. Opening in December 2021, this 103,000-square-foot facility marked the expansion of Mary Free Bed into eastern Michigan and the construction of the first new hospital in Saginaw in more than 60 years.

The new structural steel facility features three stories of mixed clinical use constructed on Covenant’s campus. The building’s first floor houses substantial outpatient physical therapy services and engineering infrastructure, while the second and third floors are home to inpatient services with 30 beds on each floor for a total of 60 beds.

Noteworthy spaces include a central therapy-garden courtyard, large gym spaces, clinics, food services provided by Covenant, an orthotics/prosthetics shop, and staff spaces. A therapy roof deck above the first floor features sections of green roof and hardscape and landscaping in planters.
