the Project study

This data center is comprised of a single story, slab-on-grade building utilizing a steel frame structure to support the roof and exterior, with non-load bearing CMU exterior walls. The building serves one primary use as Hagerty Insurance’s data processing facility.

The building is comprised of a data processing space of approximately 2,100sf, a network operations center of approximately 1,100sf, some support spaces (conference room, break room, etc.) of approximately 1,700sf, and infrastructure support rooms of approximately 4,000sf. The data processing room and NOC utilize access flooring, computer room air conditioners, power distribution units, and remote distribution cabinets. The infrastructure support areas house the electrical and mechanical systems required to maintain the computer processing functions. These areas include electrical switchgear and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, glycol system pumps, and the building heat recovery unit. The stand-by generator system is enclosed in an outdoor enclosure with a base storage tank for diesel fuel storage. The systems for this building are designed to provide operations on a 24 hour / 365 day schedule and continued operations in the event of a system failure or planned maintenance event.
