the Project study

Hutson Inc. began as a seed and fertilizer store in Murray, Kentucky in 1928, and in 1990, Hutson acquired their first John Deere dealership, and now, Hutson is one of the largest John Deere dealers in North America.

In Hutson’s continuous efforts to provide the excellent service their customers have grown to expect, they partnered with Spence Brothers to build a new state-of-the-art facility to better serve a larger portion of their clientele.

This new facility provides a larger, well-equipped service facility, superior parts storage area, equipment showroom, offices, conference rooms, and other additional storage rooms. The building includes Mercantile (M), Business (B), and Moderate-Hazard Storage (S-1) occupancies and is constructed with a non-combustible structure and partition framing, known as Type IIB Construction, and fully sprinklered.
