the Project study

North Hall on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College is the first student living facility to be built on campus in over 40 years. Featuring 140 beds in a quad-style room layout, each unit is outfitted with a kitchen and two bathrooms. This 3-story, wood framed structure was constructed on deep foundations to compensate for the poor soils at the site.

The building includes a 2,400 square foot Fitness/Wellness Center. The heating and cooling systems are centralized and the building has on-site laundry.
