Spence Brothers is proud to join Covenant HealthCare in celebrating the groundbreaking of the new Center for Advanced Orthopedics at the Mackinaw Campus in Saginaw Township.
Serving as Construction Manager alongside project partners HED and Plante Moran, Spence Brothers will help bring this $25 million investment to life. The new 25,700-square-foot medical office building will consolidate comprehensive orthopedic outpatient services under one roof, expanding access to specialized care for patients throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.
Designed around a team-based care model, the facility will support enhanced collaboration among providers and offer a streamlined patient experience. Key features will include:
- Covenant OrthoExpress, an orthopedic-focused urgent care center
- Advanced imaging and procedural spaces
- 44 exam rooms
- Clinical support for 23 providers
- Two casting rooms
- Orthotics and Prosthetics services, including fitting and shop space
- Additional specialized orthopedic care services
To support efficient clinical operations, the facility will include a variety of dedicated support spaces, such as:
- Clinical workstations and physician support areas
- Administrative offices and conference rooms
- Staff and patient amenities
- Clean and soiled utility rooms
- Secure medication and hazardous materials storage
- Mechanical and electrical service rooms
The project also includes a new parking lot and greenspace enhancements designed to accommodate increased patient volume and improve the overall campus experience.
