the Project study
The Pleasant View Medical Care facility has provided a new home for Shiawassee County’s long-term and rehabilitation facility. The one-story, 102,940sf, skilled nursing care facility consists of 136 beds in 120 units.
Divided into three distinct communities under the same roof, there are three separate “neighborhoods”: one for short-term rehabilitation, a second for memory and dementia care, and a third for long-term skilled nursing. Each neighborhood has its own secure courtyard for residents to enjoy.
This new complex includes modern private and semi-private rooms, contemporary dining with full-service kitchens, new visitation and activity areas, as well as outdoor and indoor common areas. The site includes a pad-ready space for future expansion of a fourth neighborhood to accommodate a growing senior population in the county.
